William Shelton Younts

William Shelton Younts, 88, of Eden, NC passed away Sunday, October, 16, 2022, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm.

William was born October 25, 1933, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Marvin Younts and Elizabeth Shelton Younts. He was a graduate of Wentworth High School. William served his country as a Medic in the Army from 1954-1956. He worked as control room operator for DuPont. William retired from the Eden Volunteer Rescue Squad after 15 years of service. He attended Trinity Wesleyan Church. William enjoyed sitting on his front porch, going to the beach, and making brunswick stew. He loved to farm and garden.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dawn Quesinberry (Darin) of Summerfield, NC; grandchildren, Brooke Acord (Tyler) of Stoneville, NC, Ashley McDonald (James) of Stokesdale, NC, Anna Knight (Andrew) of Hinesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Granger Acord, Henry McDonald.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Martin Younts; brother, Jerry Younts.
