William Penn Dishmon, 80, passed away Friday, September 15th at his home.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 18th at 2:00pm in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.
William was born November 26,1942 to the late Jessie and Hallie Holly Dishmon in Rockingham Co. William was a mechanic for Ralph Barrow Auto before retirement. He then worked at the flea market for many years and enjoyed selling his wares, meeting friends and showing off his Beagle, Ginger. He was a member of Immanuel Friends Church in Eden where he served as an usher.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Salmons Dishmon; daughters, Wendy Dishmon, Tammy O’Dell (Barry), Sherry Ahoush (Jim); grandchildren, Joseph Ahoush, Kristen Ahoush, Caitlyn Ray, Daniel Carter ( Andrea), Matthew Fowler (Kristen), Wyatt Robertson (Brittany), Ambrye Corum (Kyle), Seth Woods, Micah McCorkle; great-grandchildren, Braxton Carter, Levi Carter, Hannah Fowler, Landon Fowler, Kayson Bolden, Summer Robertson, Camden Robertson; brothers, James “Booker” Dishmon (Nancy), Wallace Dishmon (Paula); sister Margaret Porter (Johnny); many nieces and nephews and fur baby JoJo.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dishmon; two sisters, Carol Booth and Ann Shropshire; grandson, Landon Jake Fowler; fur baby Ginger
