William Mark Parker, surrounded by family, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on March 3, 2017.
A funeral service will take place at 2 pm, on Wednesday, March 8, at The Church of the Epiphany in Eden, NC.
He was the son of the late Norma Pender Parker and Paul J. Parker.
Mark Parker was born November 19, 1957 in Leaksville, N.C. After graduating from Morehead High School, Mark went to work for APAC as the branch manager. After 26 years of service, he retired in 2002.
Throughout his life Mark was involved in many community organizations, including, Eden Jaycees, Eden Preservation Society, Eden Moose Lodge, and a multitude of fund raisers.
Mark dedicated his life to God, family, friends, and touching people’s lives with joy and hope. He was a familiar and welcomed presence anytime and anywhere.
He is survived by three sisters, Jane Stewart Parker of North Myrtle Beach S.C, Penn Parker of Asheville N.C., and Ginger Salmons of Cascade Virginia; brother-in-law, Dwayne Salmons; beloved niece Isabelle Salmons; and including the most wonderful cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
