Wallace Franklin Mitchell, 75, of Eden passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 20, 2024 at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45pm Friday at Fair Funeral Home.

Wallace was born October 5, 1949 in Rockingham County, NC. He was a graduate of Morehead High School. Wallace served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked in maintenance as a fixer at Equity Meats until his retirement. 

Surviving are his stepdaughters, April Hubbard and Amy Robertson (Rob), grandchildren, Kayla, Kenny, and Alice Hubbard, Alysha Harmon, Gabrielle Robertson and Gavin Robertson; three great-grandchildren; aunt, Shirley Mitchell; cousins, Sandra Mitchell and Gary Mitchell; and family members, Vernell Mitchell, Karen Mitchell, Dale Mitchell, Christy Mitchell; friend and former coworker, Tracy Stowe of Ridgeway.

Wallace is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Mitchell; mother, Betty Mitchell Harris; uncles, Russell A. Mitchell and Steadman Mitchell.
