Vivian Ferguson Harris

Vivian Elizabeth Ferguson Harris, 93, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday September 22, 2024.

Vivian was born May 2, 1931 in Leaksville, NC (Eden) to the late Charlie Ferguson and Doris West. She was a former member, treasurer, and musician at Eden Baptist Church. She retired from The Rockingham County Department of Social Services in 1993 after many years of hard work and dedication. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, cooking, reading and doing puzzle books. Vivian lived a wonderful Christian life, and she will be missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Steven Harris (Leah), Southport, NC, Scott Harris (Kathryn) Greensboro, NC, Grandchildren: James Harris (April) Myrtle Beach, SC, Myra Holm (Russell) Southport, NC, Heather Allen (Brandon) Hammond, LA., and Kristin Albert (Danny) of Greensboro, NC., along with several great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Harris, sister, Betty Lou Fulton (William), step-father Ed West, great-great-granddaughter, Madelynn Lou Elizabeth Harris and numerous aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Sunday, September 29th, at Overlook Cemetery, 700 Bryant Street, Eden, NC with Pastor Sam Hunt officiating.

Proceeds and donations may be made to Clapp’s Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden, NC.
