Virginia Gay Bullins

Virginia Gay Bullins, 81 of Eden, passed away Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at UNC Rockingham.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 at Overlook Cemetery in Eden. 

Virginia grew up in Stokes County and lived the later part of her life in Rockingham County. She lived her last two years with her son, Abner, and daughter-in-law, Carol. Virginia loved movies, including those that starred her favorite actor, Massimo. She also loved going out to Texas Road House with her family and taking care of her little dog, Daisy.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Sanford (Sank) Bullins and mother, Thelma Bullins, as well as her brothers, Newton, Guy, and Edward.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Abner and daughter-in-law Carol; grandkids, Ben, Hallie and husband Jacob, and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind her sister Cathy Oliver and husband Billy, and special companion of sixty years Abe Hopkins. 

The family would like to thank UNC Rockingham Hospital staff with a special thanks to Dr. Hagan Pace for their wonderful concern and care for Virginia this past week.
