Viola Beal Bullins Carter, 78, of 314 Greenwood Street, passed away early Monday morning, February 4, 2013, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 8, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lawson Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter was born July 19, 1934 in Rockingham County, daughter of the late William Madison Beal and Bertha Barker Beal. She attended El Bethel Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Bullins of the home, Randy Bullins of Eden and Bobby Bullins and special friend, Linda, of Eden; daughter, Patricia Snyder of Bulverde, TX; step-son, David Daniel of Eden; five grandchildren, Mikie Bullins of Stoneville, Rebecca Long and husband, David of Colorado, Bobby Lee Bullins of Eden, James Snyder and wife, Ashley and Sarah Snyder, both of Bulverde, TX; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Grace Long; and sister, Blanche Wilson of Eden.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
