Vieva West Heaston

Vieva Ruth West Heaston fell asleep in death on the 17th day of July, 2025 at the age 79.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 901 Ashley Loop Rd, Reidsville.

Vieva was born July 7th, 1946 to Arnett and Gladys West, in Upshur County, West Virginia. She graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1964. After graduation, Vieva became a legal assistant for a lawyer in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

On August 4th, 1962 Vieva was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed participating in sharing her hope of better conditions by means of God’s Kingdom on a regular basis in the door-to-door ministry as well as having personal Bible Studies with numerous individuals in several different congregations in West Virginia and Eden, NC.

Vieva married Marvin Lee Heaston on July 8th, 1978. They were married for 47 years.

Vieva is survived by her husband, Marvin; two daughters, Tonya Renee McGinnis and her husband, Jay, of Annapolis, Maryland, and Christina Kay Fleming and her husband, Scott, of Columbia, South Carolina; one son, Michael Lawrence Edmonds and his wife, Sherri, of Mena, Arkansas. Stepchildren: William Robert Heaston and his wife, Esther, of Belpre, Ohio; Susan Eileen Spaulding and her husband, Luke, of Wadsworth, Ohio; Rebecca Heik and her husband, George, of St. Albans, West Virginia. Grandchildren: Tyler Scott Goodwin, Samuel Mosley White, and Samantha Robison.
