Vashti Coleman Dalton

Vashti Coleman Dalton, 94 of Stoneville, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Ancora Compassionate Care in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, at 11am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Mike Dalton, 14585 Hwy 87N, Eden.

Vashti was born May 19, 1931, in Mayodan, North Carolina, to the late William R. Coleman and Rosella Chaney Coleman. She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She married Raymond Dalton in 1948 and enjoyed 68 years of marriage until his passing in 2016. Vashti worked at Stoneville Middle School Cafeteria until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Tommy Dalton (Pamela) of Stoneville, Mike Dalton of Eden, Cindy Dalton of Stoneville, daughter-in-law, Judy Dalton; grandchildren, Courtney McDaniel, Clifford Lee Dalton, Jr., Ray Dalton, Tony Dalton, Chrissy Dalton, Tyler Dalton, Susan Russell; four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Vashti is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Raymond Dalton; children, Roy Wayne Dalton, Clifford Dalton, Sr.; grandchild, Melanie Dalton; brothers, William Coleman and Rufus Coleman; sisters, Shirley Coleman, Maggie Easter, Pauline Lester, Rosa Tucker, Betty Evans, and Jane Dalton.
