Thomas Frank Vontur

Thomas Frank Vontur, 80, of Ridgeway VA, passes away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 25, 2025.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 1st at St. Joseph of the Hill at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA immediately following the service. A visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home on Thursday, July 31st from 5:00-7:00pm.

He was born on December 4th 1944 in Floresville TX to Louis Steve Vontur Sr and Emma Gassmann Vontur in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Louis Vontur and his brother-in-law Jimmy Valcher.

Thomas was an army veteran and dedicated truck driver for over fifty years. He had driven for General Electric, Ronnie Peter’s trucking, Consolidated freight, and Roadway.

Thomas always loved and was dedicated to taking care of his family. He volunteered at the Spencer Penn Center and St. Francis springs prayer center. He had taken loving care of his wife for many years. He was loved and will be missed by many. He will forever be in our hearts and minds.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Stanley Vontur, Daughter, Jennifer Davis (Donnie), Son, Jeffrey Vontur, Grandchildren,,, Daniel Davis and Matthew Davis. Sister, Patsy Valcher. Brothers, Kenneth Vontur (Mary-Ann) and Ricky Vontur. Sister-in-law, Lorraine Vontur. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special cousin Octavia Redding (Glen).
