Thomas Lee Jarrell

Thomas Lee Jarrell, 77 of Eden, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Mt Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church in Axton, VA. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Friday, May 30, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville with Military Honors given by Henry County Veterans Honor Guard.

Thomas was born July 28, 1947 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Gilbert Lee Jarrell and Frances Wilson Jarrell. He served his country in the US Army, serving in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He then served as a Sergeant in the National Guard. Thomas was a member of Mt Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was an usher, greeter, and groundskeeper. Thomas was a truck driver. He worked at Fieldcrest for over 25 years and also worked at Mabes Trucking. He was a history buff and enjoyed visiting Civil War Battlefields. He also enjoyed being on cruise ships.

Surviving are his wife, Mae Hairfield Jarrell; sons, Thomas Wayne Jarrell, Brian Keith Jarrell (Amber); sister, Elizabeth Jarrell Moxley; three grandchildren, Kris Jarrell, Brooke J. Seals, Bryson Jarrell; three great-grandchildren, Aria Seals, Everleigh Seals, Camden Seals.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Brandon Jarrell, Oscar Lee Shorter.
