Terry Rogers

William “Terry” Rogers, 71, of Eden, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, February 10, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Dan View Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

Terry was born April 26, 1951, in Hemingway, SC, to the late LeMont “Buddy” Rogers, Sr. and Eva Odell Freeman Rogers. Terry received his degree in chemical engineering from Clemson University in 1973. He worked as a chemical engineer for Duke Energy until retiring after 25 years of service. Terry loved Clemson Football. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing blackjack. He loved going to the beach. Terry was very active in watching not only his grandchildren’s sports, but also his nieces’ and nephews’ sports, and enjoyed spending his time with them.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Vicki Underwood Rogers; children, Jennifer Avesing of Denver, CO, Anthony Mull (Amanda) of Eden; grandsons, Colin W. Haynes, Mason C. Haynes; granddaughter (due in May), Isabella Mull; brothers, LeMont Rogers, Jr. (Betty) of Bennettsville, SC, Wayne Rogers (Judy) of Newnan, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gwen and Tommy Pruitt of Eden; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lynn Rogers Haynes.
