Teresa Ann Hepler

Teresa Ann Spangler Hepler, 77 of Eden, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 172 Old Wesley Rd, Hamptonville, NC, 27020.

Teresa was born August 31, 1948, in Eden, NC, to the late Randall Ceward Spangler, Sr. and Ann Marie Tolbert Spangler. She worked at Fairchild as an inspector until her retirement. She was a dedicated employee, driving over two hours each day for many years. Teresa enjoyed listening to Shag Music, passing that fondness down to her son. She loved talking to and meeting new people. She was always willing to help others, even if it meant going without herself. Later in life, she reconnected with her high-school sweetheart and moved home to Eden, bringing her happiness and love. Teresa was down-to-earth, honest, respectful, and non-judgmental. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being happy and seeing others happy as well.

Surviving are her son, Tony Owens, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Owens; grandchildren, Xander Owens and Zachary Owens; best friend and companion, Leroy Dunn; brothers, Ceward Spangler, Jr., and Wayne Spangler; many other friends and family whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her husband, James Hepler; brother, Joey Spangler; and sister, Lynn Adkins.

One thing that has brought peace to her family is knowing that she was happy in the end.
