Stuart Graham Myott

January 20, 1962 — February 16, 2021

Stuart Graham Myott, age 59, passed from this earth on February 16, 2021, in Eden, N.C. after a years-long battle with stomach cancer.

Services for Stuart will be held in Eden, N.C. at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family in care of: Shelley Myott, 116 Holly Glade Circle, Holly Springs, N.C. 27540.

He was born in Sanford, N.C. on January 20, 1962, to Henry Gerald Myott and M. Christine Hockaday Myott. His family moved to Eden when he was a young child and, except for a few years residing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Stuart lived out his life there.

Stuart graduated from J.M. Morehead High School in 1980. He held a variety of jobs throughout his life, including as a butcher, cook, painter, handyman, and in landscaping. He was most fulfilled when working for his own painting and handyman business, which he continued until he was unable to work anymore.

He grew up attending Leaksville United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing with his brothers on the softball team. He loved to draw and anything related to Bruce Lee. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and beach lover. Stuart had a good heart, loved telling jokes, and was always willing to help someone else.

Surviving is his son, Dalton; grandson, Jacob Myott; siblings, Samuel (Jeannie), Scott, and Shelley Myott, and nieces Michelle, Madison and Emerson.  In addition to his parents, Stuart is predeceased by his oldest brother Stephen and his nephew Brandon.

The family requests that any memorials be made to Rockingham County Habitat for Humanity or Rockingham County Humane Society.
