Steven “Norris” Roberts, 64, loving husband, son, father and brother-in-law, passed away early Thursday morning, May 20, 2021, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, May 23, at Floyd Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 5 – 7 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
Norris was born December 30, 1956 in Rockingham County, NC. He was a graduate of Stoneville High School, Class of 1975. He worked for many years for Moore’s Super Market, however the past 26 years have been spent with Advance Auto Parts. Norris was a faithful member of Floyd Baptist Church. He was an avid Yankees fan and a Carolina fan. In his spare time he enjoyed mowing his grass and washing his car but his greatest enjoyment came with spending precious time with his family. He will always be remembered for his quiet, easy-going personality and will be so missed.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Kallam Roberts; daughter, Skylar Roberts; his parents, W. T. and Doris Roberts; special aunt, Billie Dean Young; sisters-in-law, Leesa Kallam Baker (Mike), Bonya Kallam Tredway (Andy), Tania Kallam Martin (Jimmy); brother-in-law, Mark Kallam (Gwynne); nieces, Jessica Baker James (Mason); nephews, Jacob Baker, Richard Kallam, Houston Kallam and James Martin; great-niece, Hadlee James; great-nephew, Bowen James; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and wonderful church family.
