Steve Matthews Turman, Sr.

Stephen Matthews Turman (Turbo), 73 of Stoneville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm *Saturday, February 15th* at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Stephen was born February 9, 1951 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John M. Turman and Barbara Nichols Turman. He graduated Morehead High School, class of 1969. He worked for Printegra Printing as a printing press operator for many years. Stephen was a beloved assistant football and baseball coach at Morehead High School for over a decade. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife, Jane Heffinger Turman of the home; daughter, Rachel Turman Bowler (Andrew) of Gretna, VA; son, Stephen Matthews Turman, Jr. of Stoneville; step-daughter, Lisa Irene Lewis of Norfolk, VA; three grandchildren, Seiya, Sena, and Lyukai Nomura; special cousins, Veronica Wade of Stoneville and Darrel Gusler of Eden.
