Stedman Jack Jones

Stedman "Jack" Jones, 58, of 504 W. Washington Street in Mayodan, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.   Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Jack was born March 2, 1959 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Stedman "Mack" Jones and Madeline Martin Jones Vernon.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Jack ran his own tree removal service.  In his spare time he loved to hunt and enjoyed working in his yard.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Talley Jones of the home;  daughter, Jaclyn Jones of Mayodan;  brother, Artie Jones and wife, Kellie of Eden;  sisters, Linda Hay and husband, Magdy of New York and Ruth "Charlie" Tonkin and husband, Chuck of Knoxville, TN;  two grandchildren, Alexis Thomas and Natalie Jones;  and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Ray Jones.
