Shirley Ann Wilson Boothe Blackwell, 83 of Eden, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, February 21, 2025 at Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Dan View Cemetery.
Shirley was born May 29, 1941 in Cascade, VA, to the late Harry William Wilson and Lula Gammons Wilson. She was a member of Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. She worked as a sewer at Fieldcrest Mills until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, and growing her flowers.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra Wilkinson and grandchildren, Kaitlin Wilkinson, Matthew Wilkinson and great-grandchildren, Tristen Wilkinson, Colton Taylor, and Isabella Taylor; son, Rick Boothe and wife Wendy Boothe, grandchild, Brandon Boothe and wife, Melissa, great-grandchildren, Ellie Boothe and Jackson Boothe; son, Chris Boothe and wife Jaime Boothe, grandchildren, Kayden Pestik, Allie Maynard, and Blake Maynard; siblings, Betty Overby, Lewis Wilson, Curtis Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Brenda Morgan, Judy Wilson.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Eugene E. Boothe, second husband, William “Dink” Blackwell, brother, Larry Wilson, and sister, Margaret Kingston.
