Sandra McClung Hale, 59, of 400 Woodrow Road in Stoneville, went to live with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 7, at Osborne Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wright Family Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Osborne Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
Mrs. Hale was born March 3, 1955 in Leaksville, NC. She was an active member of Osborne Baptist Church and served on the Board of the Rockingham Pregnancy Center. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, and learning how to do new things. Sandra graduated from Morehead High School, Class of '73, UNC-G with a degree in business in 1977 and Rockingham Community College in 1983 with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Covey for many years, along with Morehead Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Randy Hale, of the home; daughters, Wendy Hale Parker of Eden and Stacey Hale Guerrero of Fuquay Varina; son, Donald Hale and wife, Amber of Reidsville; grandchildren, Hannah and Gaven Parker and Bailey Hale; mother, Doris McClung; mother-in-law, Karen Ramsey; sisters, Patricia Nassar and Janet White and her husband, Alan, ; brother, Gary McClung; sister-in-law, Julia Davidson; brother-in-law, Brian Hale and wife, Sherry; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garrett Conwell McClung.
