Ruth Roberts Spain

Ruth Roberts Spain, age 92 of 829 Hill Street, Eden, NC passed away early Sunday morning, July 7, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. 

A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday at Dan View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Fair Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm and other times at her residence. 

Mrs. Spain was born June 18, 1927 in Rockingham County to the late Robbie C. and Mary Maggie Nelson Roberts.  She was a member of Osborne Baptist Church. Ruth retired from Fieldcrest Mills and later she would clean houses for people. 

Surviving are sons, Nathaniel Spain and wife Joan and B.T. Spain and wife Tina; daughter, Tammy Bailey all of Eden; sister, Jean Garringer of  Eden; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death along with her parents, a son, Charlie Clarence "C.C." Spain; sisters,  Mary Moore, Helen Gilley, Mabel Gilland, Thelma Coleman; brothers, James & Bobby Roberts, grandson, Chris Spain.
