Ruth Smart Hilton

Ruth S. Hilton, 95 of Mason, OH, formerly of Martinsville, passed away March 12, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, 432 Boone Rd, Eden. Inurnment will follow at Overlook Cemetery.

Ruth Smart Dancy Hilton was born in 1930 in Leaksville, NC and lived to see her 95th birthday. She had a wonderful 95 years loved by family and wonderful friends.

Ruth was the first born of Myrtle and Emmett Smart. And older sister to her favorite person, George “Sonny” Smart. The siblings had a lifetime of love for each other. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Roscoe F. Dancy and her second husband Lee Hilton.

Ruth is survived by her only child, Cheryl Dancy ODonnell (Hugh), her grandchildren Jennifer Jones and Ashley (Clint) Allen, her great grandchildren Kendall and Cooper Jones and Summer and Ozzy Allen.

Ruth worked at DuPont for many dedicated years. When not working she loved dancing, reading, lunches, playing cards and beach trips. It gives us great joy knowing she has been reunited with her mother, father, brother and friends that have already passed, and they are creating new memories together.
