Ruth D. Byrd

Ruth D. Byrd, 82, passed away Saturday, April 3rd at Brian Center Nursing Home in Eden.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ruth was born February 28, 1939 to the late Floyd Adam and Mary Elizabeth Weadon Dabbs in Rockingham County, NC.  Ruth was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church Congregation in Eden.  She worked with her husband as his bookkeeper for his insulation business for many years. 

She is survived by her husband, William Byrd of the home: twin sister, Ruby Fisher of Eden and Peggy (Joe) Gallaher of Ruffin;  niece, Jennifer Chandler of Reidsville and nephew, Chuck Gallaher of Ruffin. 

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Dabbs Blalock and one brother, Floyd Elmore Dabbs.
