Ruby Covington

Ruby Pearl Covington, 82 formerly of Soapstone Road, Ridgeway and for the last several years at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville,VA where she passed away early Wednesday morning.

A graveside service will be held 4 pm Friday October 26, 2012 at Mt. View Cemetery with a visitation to be held from 2pm til 3:45 pm at Fair Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. Covington was born February 22, 1930 in Forsyth County, NC. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from Henry County Plywood.

She is survived by brother, James Morton of Axton and numerous neices and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her foster mother, Emma Bowdon Manuel; brothers, Cliff Curry, Henry Curry, Luther, Melvin, Carl and Tom Morton and Bill Covington; sisters, Lou Ella Pickurel, Cora Covington, Eveline Covington and Vergie Morton.

The family will receive at other times at the home of her neice Frances Turner, 380 Roosevelt Drive, Ridgeway, VA.
