Ruby Barrett Dickson Isom

Ruby Barrett Dickson Isom, 92, of Walkertown, formerly of Eden, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Friends Home of Guilford.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Ruby was born June 7, 1931 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Jesse Barrett and Bessie Barrett. Ruby was a devout Christian. She was a former member of Elliot Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Kerwin Baptist Church in Kernersville. Ruby worked as an inspector at E.I. Dupont until her retirement.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Dickson (Linda); daughter-in-law, Deborah Dickson; stepson, Jerry Isom (Carol); grandchildren, Geoffrey Dickson, Ashley Gladwell, June Workman; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Nealy Linthicum, Nancy Barrett, Judith Barker, Linda Hall.

In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Dickson; second husband, Stewart Lee Isom; son, Jerry Dickson; stepson, Terry Isom; sister, Catherine McBride; brothers, Elmer Barrett, Lester Barrett, Bryant Barrett, Billy Barrett.
