Roy Lee Taylor, Jr.

Roy Lee Taylor, Jr., 72, of 3499 Price Road in Eden, passed away Tuesday evening, September 8, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 11, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Mr. Taylor was born January 23, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Roy Lee Taylor, Sr. and Susie Curry Taylor. He was a US Air Force veteran and the owner and operator of Taylor's Mobile Home Movers.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lillie Soyars Taylor of the home; two sons, Jason Taylor and Darryl Taylor and wife Dana of Eden; step-sons, Jerome Williams and wife, Teresa and Joel Williams, both of Eden; step-daughters, Shirley Talbott and husband, Roy of Eden and Juanita Dooley and husband, Jerry of Irisburg, VA; five grandchildren, Brandon and Maegan Taylor, Brittany and Crystal Taylor, and Chris Williams; four step-grandchildren, James Sims, Kaitlyn Martin, Brian Harris, and Ingrid Talbott; sisters, Harriet Shaeffer, Lillie Mae Taylor, and Linda Taylor; and brothers, Lester Taylor and Lavon Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Spencer Williams.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
