Roy Keeling Hopkins

Roy K. Hopkins, 75, of 1007 First Street, Eden, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012, at Brian Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 15, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, VA.

Mr. Hopkins was born September 6, 1937 in Martinsville, VA, son of the late Richard Green Hopkins and Texie Mae Tedder Hopkins.

He is survived by his two sisters, Betty Austin Hartness and Rosemary Austin, both of Eden and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Lee Hopkins, Richard Green Hopkins, Jr. and William Edgar Hopkins; and sister, Louise Elizabeth Cooke.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
