Ronald Robertson

August 30, 1943 — February 15, 2018

Ronald Robertson, 74, of 685 Easley Road in Eden, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 18th at Osborne Baptist Church with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mr. Robertson was born August 30, 1943 in Leaksville, NC to the late Reverend Gus and Margaret Trent Robertson.  He loved to take care of the veterans at the Veteran's Hospitals.  Ron was the owner of Ron's Medical Equipment and he attended Osborne Baptist Church.  He loved to play golf, watch the Tarheels, the Redskins, and the Yankees and loved being outside working in his yard.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  "He was a gentleman with a big heart". 

He is survived by his wife, Jean Lester Robertson of the home;  daughters, Rhonda Evans and husband, Keith of Eden and Jennifer Martin and husband, Benny of Oak Ridge;  four grandchildren, Haleigh Shockley and husband, Jordan, Jacob Keith Evans, Gavin Keith Martin and Gabe Isaac Martin;  brothers, G. T. Robertson and Joe Robertson and wife, Lorna, both of Eden;  sisters, Arlene Campbell and husband, Mike and Jeanette Wagoner and husband, Bob, both of Eden;  and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Perdue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Osborne Baptist Church Building Fund in Eden.
