Roberta Haskins Shockley

Roberta Haskins Shockley, 77, of 138 Hollingsworth Street, passed away Wednesday night, November 9, 2011 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery Mrs. Shockley was born June 12, 1934 in Mayodan to the late Jesse and Mary Amos Haskins. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker Surviving are her husband, Clifford Earl Shockley of the home; sons, C. Ray Shockley , Chris Shockley and wife Vickie of daughter, Lori S. Scott and husband Freddie of Ridgeway, Va., sisters, Mary Ann Haskins Willis of Mayodan and Donna Lynn Haskins Boyd of Eden, brother Jesse Frank Haskins, Jr. of Reidsville, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death along with her parents, son Kenny Shockley and sister, Ruth "Tubby" Ducan. The family will receive friends 7 - 9 Pm Monday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
