Robert Warren Randle

Robert Warren "Bob" Randle, 84, of 511 Bridge Street, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Brian Center in Eden. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, August 13 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Randle was born March 19, 1927 in Mississippi, son of the late Joseph W. and Willetta Barrentine Randle. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Love Thy Neighbor Baptist Church, both in Eden. Bob was a former Merchant Marine and former manager of McDonald's Restaurant in Eden. He married Jean Seligman on August 4, 1951 and they celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. Surviving are his wife, Jean Seligman Randle of the home and daughters, Deborah Lewis and husband, Bob of Eden, Barbara Humphries and husband, James of Fayetteville, and Brenda Summerlin and husband, Todd of Stoneville. His five grandchildren are Amanda Rorrer, Randy Shea, Matthew Humphries, Clint and Ali Summerlin; great-grandchildren are Lydia Rorrer and Michael Shea; and sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Randle of North Wilkesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph W. Randle, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 am - 11 am) on Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
