Robert Michael Harmon

Robert "Mike" Michael Harmon, 71, of Eden, passed away on November 1st, 2021 in his wife's arms.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 4th at 3 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home officiated by Dr Tripp Harmon. Please wear a mask if attending. 

Mike was born on May 2nd, 1950 the late Joe Harmon and Mildred Quesinberry Harmon of Eden. 

Mike graduated from Morehead High School, class of 1968. He then continued his education and graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in history. Mike retired from the Department of Social Services after 30 years. Following retirement, Mike worked at Eden Drug and Lynrock Golf Course with Marcus Wilson who he considered a second son. Mike was an avid golfer and loved going on golf trips with his friends. He loved Duke basketball and attending Duke football games with his family. Mike also loved beach trips with his family and loved cooking and inventing new recipes.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his sister Millie Morrison. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Woods Harmon, son Rocky Harmon (Mindy Harmon), daughter Elyce Luegers (Kyle Luegers), brother Melvin Harmon (Donna Harmon), grandchildren Cayden Harmon and Lorelei Luegers, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Al Morrison who was like a second brother to him.

The family would like to thank Dr Katragadda the staff of Cone Health Cancer Center at Annie Penn, Dr Rehman, Hospice of Rockingham County, and Dr Jenkins. They also want to thank Randy and Linda Jeffries for all their love and support. Memorial contributions can be made to Eden First Church of the Brethren or the American Cancer Society.
