Robert "Bobby" McDaniel

Robert “Bobby” Wayne McDaniel, age 91 of Eden, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, December 13, 2025 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday December 17, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden.

Bobby was born March 8, 1934 in the Draper section of Eden to the late Clyde and Estelle McDaniel. Bobby is survived by his daughter Amy McDaniel Weber and husband Richard, special companion Carol Dyson. Grandchildren Jennifer Woods, David Woods and wife Lindy, Lisa McDaniel Sellers, Bryon McDaniel, Richard Boyte and wife Jackie, Ryan Boyte, Bentley Willey, great grandchildren Cody Woods, Tyler and Chase Woods, Cody Albertson, Keyleigh Talbot and Madison Wheatley. He was predeceased by his wife Daisy Holt McDaniel, sister Judy Smith, brother Frank McDaniel, sons David “Rusty” Woods and Robert Wayne McDaniel, Jr., and daughter Yalonda McDaniel Boyte.

Robert Wayne McDaniel, Sr. left for the U.S. Navy in 1951 and served on the U.S. Thomas E. Fraser – DM24. He served during the Korean War and was ashore in many countries. After discharge, he lived in Chicago, IL, and then in Baltimore, MD for many years. He returned to Eden, NC with his family in the early 70’s where he spent the rest of his life. He will be greatly missed.
