Robert Lee Peet, age 56 of 207 Madison Street in Eden, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, May 2nd at his home.

There will be a formal visitation held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 2 – 5 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at his residence.   

Mr. Peet was born in Baltimore, Maryland on the 22nd day of February in the year of 1963.  He was the son of the late Clifton Willard Peet, Jr. and Pearl Haas Peet.  Robert was of the Baptist and held faithful for the Love of his God.   He worked for the Belco Rubber Company until his health declined.  Robert enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching movies, wrestling and NASCAR.  He lived life to the fullest but most of all he loved his family.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda Oxendine Peet of the home; his three children, Athena Peet of Eden, Joshua Bell and wife, Anna of Germany and Jamie Chavis of Eden; his grandchildren, Isaac Bell, Sylas Bell, Malakai Chavis, Jaxon Chavis, Evan Broadnax, and Harper Bonilla; his siblings, Joseph Peet, JoEllen Deans, Clifton Willard, II, Gary Wayne Peet, and Aletha Dunaway: sister -in-law, Sandy Barton; and two special nieces, Holly Spinks and Michelle Harpster; and several other nieces, nephews and large extended family.

Robert is preceded in death, along with his parents by his brother, Richard Norman Peet; his sister, Juanita Stutzenberd, brother-in- law, Charles Deans; niece, Desiree Stone, and his nephew, Joshua Daniel Callahan.
