Reverend Robert Carl Guldenschuh Sr. (“Bob”) born September 11, 1931 in Johnson City, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, February 13, 2026, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from Noon – 1pm.

Bob grew up in Vestal, NY with his parents, five brothers and one sister. Bob married his loving wife Marlene Ann on August 2, 1952. Bob enlisted in the Army in 1948. He was stationed in Germany from 1949-1952. He is a veteran of the Korean War and spent 13 months on the battlefield. After the Korean War he was stationed in Ft. Dix, NJ until he was discharged in 1957 as a Sergeant. He worked for IBM in their printing press department from 1957-1974 then in 1975 he moved to Albany, NY where he worked as an Assistant Pastor at Pineview Christian Missionary Alliance Church for three years. In 1977 the family moved to North Plainfield, NJ where Bob worked for AT&T/Lucent as a security guard until he retired in 1996. After retiring Bob and his wife Ann moved to Eden, NC. Bob was formerly ordained as a Reverend while attending First Baptist Church of Draper. Over his many years of ministry Bob enjoyed being a visiting Pastor at hospitals and to those who were shut-in. Bob and his wife Ann are current members of Spray Baptist Church in Eden, NC. Bob would want everyone reading this obituary to examine their hearts and believe in and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior so one day you too will be in heaven. Bob’s favorite bible verses are “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Guldenschuh and mother Violet of Towanda, PA, Brother Arthur Guldenschuh Jr. and wife Ruth, brother Donald Guldenschuh and wife Justine, brother Edward Guldenschuh and wife June, brother Charles Guldenschuh and wife Jean, brother George Guldenschuh and wife Sue and his eldest son Rev. Robert Guldenschuh Jr.

He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 73 years Marlene Ann Guldenschuh of the home, Eden, NC, Sons, Kenneth Gulden and wife Donna, Shepherdstown, WV, William Gulden and wife Michelle, Union, NJ three daughters, Victoria Vescio and wife Cindy, Lutz, FL, Linda Stamp and husband Geoff, Indian Trail, NC, Sandra Berrier and husband Michael, Eden, NC, daughter-in-law Sue Guldenschuh, Erie, PA, sister Donna Taylor and husband Edwin. Grandchildren: Jenifer Burrows, Erie, PA, Jonathan Guldenschuh and wife Jenna, Pittsburg, PA, Heather Guldenschuh, Erie, PA, Jesse Jones, Charlotte, NC, Charles Jones and wife Kelsey, Virginia Beach, VA, Brandon Berrier and wife Kourtnie, Eden, NC. Great Grandchildren: Lori Burrows, Bobby Burrows, Mark Burrows, Melanie Burrows, Hunter Guldenschuh, Angela Guldenschuh, Jack Jones, Elena Berrier, Chase Berrier, Baby Henry Lee Berrier on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends.

The family will be receiving visitors & friends at the home located at 611 Roberts St. in Eden, NC following the funeral services.
