Robert G Futrell

Robert Glen Futrell, Jr. (Bob) age 79,  passed away on Christmas morning December 25, 2020 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Due to Covid19, services will be held at a later date.

Bob was born, June 9, 1941 in Murfreesboro, NC to the late Robert Glen Futrell, Sr. and Eva Odom Futrell.  He was a member of Leaksville United Methodist Church and a retired professor of Biology at Rockingham Community College. He was recently on the Board of Directors of Eden Lions Club, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and Help for the Homeless. Bob held B.S and M.S. Degrees from North Carolina State University and did further graduate studies at Cornell University.

Surviving are wife Ann (Bitsy) Futrell and daughters, Beth Pulliam (Darrin) and Brett Denney; grandson, Jordan Thomas Pulliam, sister, Jean Futrell Vinson (Carroll) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to either the LUMC Pastor’s Discretionary Fund or the RCC Foundation.
