Richard "Ric" Wayne (Burleson) Christley

Richard "Ric" Wayne (Burleson) Christley, 52, of 395 NC Hwy 700 in Eden, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 4, at Draper Christian Church.  Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Ric was born July 6, 1965 in Rockingham County, NC to the late, Richard Nelson Burleson and Inez Leonard Burleson.   He was employed by Stoneville Lumber Company for 22 years.  He was a member of Draper Christian Church and had  a strong faith in God.  He enjoyed singing with "The Glory Singers", helping people with any need they may have and spending time with his family.  Ric and Tammy had a special love for one another that spanned their 31 years of marriage.  He will surely be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Wadsworth Christley of the home;  four children, Evan Christley, Leahann Massey, Stephanie Christley and Chyenne Christley, all of Eden;  six grandchildren, Benjamin, Sophia, Natileah, Annaleah, Caleb, and Devanae;  sister, Debby Wyatt of Stoneville;  God Mother, Doris Edwards;  and special sister-in-law, Patricia Edwards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Christley.
