Richard Phillip Shockley

Richard Phillip Shockley, 55, passed away on Saturday, September 23rd at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

There will be no formal service at this time, but a "Celebration of Life" will be held October 6th at 7:00pm at the First Church of the Brethren, Eden, NC.

Richard was born on December 10, 1967, to Robert and Roberta Case Shockley.  He loved being on the river. Richard loved most of all being with his family.

Richard is survived by his mother, Roberta Case Shockley; son, David Shockley of the home; Andrea Haynes, mother of his son and life-long companion; bonus daughter, Melissa Hale; sisters Rhapsody Rhodes of Eden and Robin Mitchell (Tim) of TN; one brother, Robert Shockley (Ronnie) of TX; aunt, Hilda Jones; uncles, Jimmy and Roger Shockley; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Shockley and several aunts and uncles.
