Ricardo Guzman Rodriguez, age 55, of Eden, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, July 29, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born on January 6, 1970, in Zacatepec, Morelos, Mexico, Ricardo lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and serving others. He was the cherished husband of Concepcion Guzman, and the proud father of three daughters: Karen Santos, Denisse Guzman, and Michelle Guzman. He was also the loving grandfather of Elizabeth Santos, Ezra Santos, and Judah Santos, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Ricardo faithfully served as Pastor of Iglesia Pentecostés Fuente de Vida Eterna in Eden, NC, where he ministered with passion, humility, and unwavering devotion to God. He also worked with integrity and diligence at Press Glass Inc., earning the respect of his coworkers and friends.
Ricardo was a man known for his generosity, his distinctive laugh, and above all, his deep love for God and people. His faith was not only preached, it was practiced. He lived out the biblical truth found in James 2:17, that “faith without works is dead.” Ricardo put his faith into action through his compassion, his service, and his consistent giving. He had a heart for missions and quietly supported churches and orphanages in need around the world. His life was a reflection of Christ’s love, carried out through both word and deed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Guzman Ortega; his mother, Lucia Rodriguez Bustos; and his sister, Lilia Guzman Rodriguez. He is survived by his brothers Jaime Guzman, Javier Guzman, Francisco Guzman, and his sister Mayra Cortes, as well as many extended family members and a church community who will miss him deeply.
A visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning promptly at 2:00 PM, followed by a procession and burial at Ridge View Cemetery in Eden.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
Ricardo’s legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
