Rev. Benny M. Tuggle, a cherished man of faith, family, and community, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in Stoneville, NC, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 15, 1939, Rev. Tuggle lived a life marked by devotion to God, his loved ones, and his calling.
A funeral service honoring Rev. Benny M. Tuggle’s remarkable life will be held at Fair Funeral Home on June 10, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM. This will be a solemn occasion for reflection, remembrance, and celebration of a life exemplified by faith, family, and kindness. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
For decades, Rev. Benny M. Tuggle was the proud owner of Tuggle's Concrete, a business he nurtured with dedication and integrity. Yet beyond his entrepreneurial spirit, he was known as the strongest yet kindest man—a God-fearing preacher who touched countless lives through his ministry as a Pentecostal Holiness Preacher. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, inspiring all who knew him.
Rev. Tuggle’s passions were many and heartfelt. He deeply loved classic cars, a hobby that brought him joy and soulful connection. Above all, he was the best dad, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend anyone could ask for—roles in which his warmth, guidance, and unwavering support never faltered.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Surviving him is his devoted wife of 69 years, Laverne Tuggle, whose companionship was a testament to enduring love. His daughter Debbie Tuggle remains a pillar of their family bond. He was supported also by his brother G.T. Tuggle and cherished grandchildren: Randy Lee Tuggle Jr., Kristin Gwyn Somers, Jordan Daniel Tuggle, Kenna S. Lucas (Corey Lucas), Chelsi Ann Tuggle, Sydnee Gwynn Vaden, Benjamin Scott Vaden. The light of his life extended into the youngest generation with great-grandchildren Michael Bray Somers, Keagan Ann Tuggle, Kamden Christopher Ligon, Kaylen Mackenzie Lucas, Aurora Claire McElory, Declan Reign McElory, William Riggs Bratcher, Corey Kolten Lucas. Family gatherings were further enriched by the presence of his nephew, Realy Tuggle and nieces, Wendy L. Carpenter and Patsy Eanes (Terry Eanes).
His life marks a bridge between generations, not only connecting family but also those who knew him through his work and faith. The memories held by those left behind are treasures of character and love.
Rev. Tuggle was preceded in death by beloved parents Realy M. Tuggle and Mary Elizabeth Shelton Tuggle; son Randy Tuggle; daughter Denise Vaden; brothers Rufus Tuggle, James Tuggle, Bobby Tuggle; sisters Margaret Tuggle Kendrick and Bertha Tuggle Chaney; and nephew Jeff Tuggle. They remain in the hearts of his family and all who hold close the beautiful moments shared.
Rev. Benny M. Tuggle’s journey is a mosaic of faithfulness, strength, and gentle love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all privileged to know him. His memory endures, a beacon of light guiding those who walk the path he charted with conviction and grace.
