Rebecca Jeanette Shumake Lemons

Rebecca Jeanette Shumake Lemons, 81, of Stoneville passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, June 23, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Rebecca was born November 13, 1941, in Iredell County, NC, to the late James Shumake and Helen Mattherson Shumake. Rebecca spent her life raising and caring for her family and loved spending time with them.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Buster Lemons of Stoneville, Andy Lemons and special friend Tracy McBride of Stoneville, Sandy Lester and husband Greg of Stoneville, Mickie Stewart and husband Dwayne of Franklinville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Shumake of Madison, Gary Shumake of Madison; special friends, Steve and Pat Wilson of Stoneville.

In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Lemons.
