Rebecca Barrow Rhyne

Rebecca Barrow Rhyne, 86, passed away Sunday evening, December 1, 2019, at UNC-Rockingham Rehab & Nursing Care Center.  

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 4, at Danview Cemetery.

A native of Rockingham County, NC, Mrs. Rhyne was born June 2, 1933 to the late Harry D. Barrow and Maybud Mangrum Barrow.  She was a graduate of Draper High School, Class of 1952 and was the oldest of 13 children.

She is survived by her six sisters, Rossi Barrow Sacrinty of Eden, Faye Abshire (Raymond) of Ridgeway, VA, Mitzi B. Lhotsky (Jan) of Dallas, TX, Verla Maus (James) of Advance, Catherine Sladky (James) of Summerfield, and Debra Meinhart (Jeff) of Louisburg;  and three brothers, Watt L. Barrow (Carolyn) of Bassett, VA, Joe Barrow and Lynn Barrow, both of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Rhyne, Jr., along with three brothers, Buck, Mark and Harry Daniel Barrow.
