Rebecca Ann Odell

Rebecca Ann Odell, 84, of Eden, NC, passed away January 29, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Ridgeview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home.

Rebecca was born December 17, 1937, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Pryor Wilson Odell and Lelia Ann Patterson Odell. She worked as a deli clerk at Food Lion and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. More recently, she attended Love Thy Neighbor Baptist Church, Eden, NC.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Roger Snody, Tim Snody, Tammy Kennedy, and Sandra Hairfield Cantrell; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Ray Ferris; sisters, Gracie Marie Carter of Eden, Dora Virginia Price of Stoneville, Betty Sue Burchell of Eden and Shelby Jeanette Carter of Eden.

In addition to her parents and step father, Rebecca is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Byron Snody, Sr. and a son Ernest Byron Snody, Jr.; brother, Gerald Wayne Ferris; sisters, Florence Cornelia Dodson and Reva Blanche Burchell.
