Raymond "Son" Giles East

Raymond "Son" Giles East, 57, of 200-A Fieldcrest / Hale Street in Eden, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, April 22, at Happy Home Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. East was born May 7, 1953 in Reidsville, NC. He was a former supervisor for Glen Raven Inc. before becoming disabled. Surviving are his two sons, Brian and Craig East, both of Ruffin; five daughters, Tonya East, Marcia Bibee and husband, Tim, and Toni Towery and husband, Jamie, all of Ruffin, and Michelle and Dawn East of Eden; eight grandchildren; mother, Betty East of Ruffin; sisters, Jean Domina and husband, Billy of Eden, Linda Moore and husband, Ted of Reidsville, and Cathy Cook and husband, Rodney of Burlington; speical niece Libby Reed and husband, Tracy of Eden; and nephew, Dave Domina of Eden. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy B. East and brother, Roy L. East. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, 9083 Hwy 700 in Ruffin.
