Rae Elliott

Rae Elliott, 102, of Eden passed away Tuesday, December 24th, 2024 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Monday, December 30th, 2024 at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home beginning one hour prior to the service, from 12-12:45pm. Military Honors will be given by Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard.

Rae was born December 15th, 1922 in Stuart, Virginia, to the late William Russell Elliott and Lucy Pack Elliott. He was a member of Spray United Methodist Church. Rae served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. He owned and operated the Appliance Clinic until his retirement. Rae loved flying and traveling. He enjoyed going square dancing. Rae built over fifty three houses, was an avid woodworker, and enjoyed making furniture and working with his hands.

Surviving Rae are his sons, Keith Elliott (Angela) of Eden, Dennis Elliott (Linda) of Greensboro, Mickey Elliott (Jan) of Aurora; grandchildren, Erin Elliott, Megan Elliott, Jeremy Elliott, Cristina Woon (Gordon), Rebecca Elliott, Caitlin Elliott, Daniel Elliott, Kendra Elliott; great-grandchildren, Kendall Elliott, Olivia Elliott, Ocean Woon.

In addition to his parents Rae is preceded in death by his loving wife, Treva Thompson Elliott; three brothers, Hugh Elliott, Tom Elliott, Clemmon Elliott; five sisters, Mary Hopper, Mattie Heffinger, Virginia England, Evelyn White, and Betty Jacobson.
