Preston Herman Bolick

Preston Herman Bolick, 98 of Stoneville, North Carolina, passed peacefully at Ancora at Gibson House on September 16, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 21, 2026. The family will receive friends at Fair Funeral Home in Eden one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Stoneville Cemetery Mausoleum with Military Honors given by Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at other times at the home, 1624 Price Grange Rd, Stoneville.

Preston was born on December 29, 1927 in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Horace W. Bolick and Lou Ora Sigmon Bolick. Preston was a proud United States Navy veteran who served during World War II. Following his military service, he dedicated his life to serving his community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department, retiring after 25 years of service.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 77 years, Gaynell Clark Bolick; his daughter, Donna Herbison; and his sons, Curtis Bolick and Mark Bolick.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Casey Edwards (Joel), Lauren Robinson (Cody), Danielle Gecijo (Josef), and Hunter Bolick; his great-grandchildren, Camryn and Layla Kennedy, Presley Gecijo, Turner Robinson, Amelia and Blakely Edwards; his sisters, Barbara Owens and Ruth Maynor; and his brother, Eugene Bolick.
