Phyllis Taeshner Woliver, 81, of 801 Meadowood Street in Greensboro, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 6 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden , NC. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Woliver was born May 8, 1928 in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Michael and Rose Mullen Taeschner. She graduated from St. Peter's Catholic High School in Staten Island, New York, in 1946. She then studied at the New York Institute of Dietetics in Manhattan. She worked at Schraff's Restaurants of New York. She was a retiree of the United States Postal Service. Surviving are her daughters, Dr. Laura Woliver and husband, Mark Binkley of Columbia, SC, Leslie Barton of Longwood, FL, Lisa Bagby and husband, Ray of Oak Ridge, NC; son, Jeffrey Michael Woliver and wife, Phyllis of Pearland, TX; sister, Claire Riordan of Monroe Township, NJ; nine grandchildren, Paul Binkley, Sarah Binkley, Kevin Woliver and wife, Jayme, Kimberly Robertson and husband, Steven, Candace Woliver, Laura Barton, Rachael Barton, Madeline Bagby, and Robert Bagby; and one great-grandchild, Rivers Wesley Woliver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, CW4 Wesley Harmon Woliver. She was a proud military spouse who loved life, traveling, reading, friends, and especially family. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
