Peggy Rodgers Gossage

Peggy Ann Rodgers Gossage, 95, formerly of Eden, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Yanceyville Rehab and Health Center.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10am Friday, September 13, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Eden.

Peggy was born April 19, 1929 in Spray, NC, to the late James Rodgers and Nellie Murphy Witt. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Methodist Church. Peggy worked as an apartment manager for Thurston Properties until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and cooking.

Surviving are her sons, James “Flip” Hudgins (Judy), Roger Hudgins (Kay); stepdaughters, Becky Bowling, Linda Lee; brother, Bobby Rodgers (Kathy); eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Gossage; daughter, Rhonda Stroud; son, Rick Hudgins, one infant son; and brothers, Mike Rodgers, Homer Rodgers, Jack Rodgers, Calvin Rodgers, and Freddie Rodgers.
