Pearlie Manuel Coleman, age 90, of Eden, NC, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, April 6, in Goodwill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Morgan Ford Road in Virginia. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery for the service.
Mrs. Coleman was born April 9, 1928 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Clifton C. and Maggie Hooker Manuel. She was a member of Goodwill Primitive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and operated Pearl's Beauty Shop at her home. Mrs. Coleman enjoyed styling hair, long walks, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Alfred Coleman, of the home and Donald Alvin Coleman (Amy) of Reidsville; sister-in-law, Mildred H. Manuel of Eden; uncle, Robert Ellis Hooker of Martinsville, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ward Coleman; sisters, Odessa M. Thompson, and Emma M. Pulliam; brothers, Carl "Pitt" Manuel, Odell Manuel, and Harry Manuel.
The family gives special thanks to the caregivers of Hospice Home of Rockingham County for the loving and outstanding care she received.
