Pauline D. Carter

Pauline Dunovant Carter, 88, of Eden, NC, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at the Brian Center.  She passed away from complications of COVID19.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, August 27, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville.

Pauline was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills after 40 years of service.  She worked in the Fieldcrest Mill and later in the Fieldcrest Store where she was an outstanding customer service representative.  Pauline enjoyed long rides in the car, especially along the Blue Ridge Parkway.  She looked forward to lunch at Mabry Mill in autumn.  Moving to the Brian Center later in life, she was an avid crossword puzzler and always enjoyed singing when choirs visited.  Pauline was kind to the nurses that cared for her and she became friends with many of the residents.  She will be remembered as loving, thoughtful, supportive, a fabulous cook, a wonderful mother, aunt and friend.  While she will be missed, there will be an extra twinkle in the stars.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Carter and daughter-in-law, Patrice Carter, of North Myrtle Beach, SC.
