Paul E. Hyler, Sr., 80 years old, arrived into the presence of Jesus on June 11th from his home in Asheville. The Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Friends Church at 11am on Thursday, June 17th . Interment will follow at Dan View Cemetery. He was a faithful husband of 58 years, a loving father and grandfather. His life was lived as a testimony to the love of Christ. He spent many years as a lay minister in several churches and nursing homes in addition to teaching Sunday School for 50 years. He was born and raised in Eden, but left to serve in the Korean War in Korea and in Germany. Upon returning home, he started a family and studied to become a printer. He retired from Avery Soabar in Greensboro after 24 years. In his later years he moved to Asheville to be close to his sons. He is survived by his wife, Doris Ralphine Hyler, son Paul Jr., his wife Susan and Georgia all of Asheville, son Jim, his wife Jane and daughter Lora of Hendersonville, sister Kathleen Gillie, her husband Frank of Smithfield, sister-in-law Pauline Hyler of Eden, and many nieces and nephews.
