Paul Edward Dalton

Paul Edward Dalton, 91, of Ridgeway, VA, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. Military honors will be given by the Rockingham Country Veterans Honor Guard.

Paul was born May 2, 1933 in Draper, NC, to the late John Bishop “J.B.” Dalton and Mittie Stanley Dalton. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1953. Paul worked at E.I. Dupont as a truck driver until his retirement in 1992.

Surviving are his loving wife, Norma Jean Laprade Dalton; daughters, Deborah Parks, Paula Stovall (Sonny), and Melinda Overby (Richard), all of Ridgeway; four grandchildren, April Clayborne, Kris Keene, Sommer Carter, Heather Turner; nine great-grandchildren, Colton Keene, Halle Keene, Dylan Stovall, Brooke Stovall, Patrick Fitzgerald, Tyler Blankenship, Ciara Pitman, Tristan Carter, Sophia Turner; and ten great-great-grandchildren, Khaleesi Stovall, Josiah Stovall, Hazel Stovall, Waylon Stovall, Zamorah Stovall, Kennedy Camp, Stephen Pitman, Harper Pittman, Waylon Pittman, Jase Chaney.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Alvin, Vernon, Marvin, Murray, and Carlie Dalton, and sister, Sadie Clark.
